How many active volcanoes are there in Hawaii? How do they affect resorts in the Island?
There is only one active volcano on Hawaii's Big Island (Kilauea) and it has been erupting for over 20 years. Because of the location and type of eruption, does not pose any threat to homes or resorts.
Depending on which way the wind blows, some days the volcanic smog will reach Oahu but it does not impact airline flights.
